  1. Good morning,
my name is Gary, and I am writing to you from Australia.

I was wondering, is there anyone that can help answer a few questions, specifically about Hebrew scripture, and the Hebrew language please?

I am a bit of a Bible ‘nerd’ (for want of a better word), and love to ask questions and investigate things in scripture. In my early years as a christian, I went by the KJV (the King James Version), mainly because it was the earliest and oldest version of the scriptures (in English) I knew of.

Through prayer, I’ve come to the conclusion that I cannot trust the English version (of the scriptures), because of potential misinterpretations and paganism.

In recent months, I felt compelled to investigate the scriptures and ask questions, and ‘get back to basics’ with it, so I can get a better understanding of my beloved Creator, and what He’s telling me through His WORD.

I have a basic understanding of the Aleph-Bet, and I am slowly taking in the language as I go. I’m doing it part-time, as my schedule allows. I’ve learned all sorts of wonderful things about Hebrew, and while I’m not fluent in it just yet, I’m enjoying my learning of the scriptures at my own pace – it’s been a fun journey so far.

There are many Hebrew words I use now, because I want to get closer to the original meanings of the words (as they were intended), and you can only do that by learning them and understanding what they mean. I also want to get away from a lot of English words in the Bible, as they are pagan and evil in origin.

Anyway, if you are too busy to help, is there a retired elder or pastor, who might be able to help me please?

Looking forward to hearing from you,
    Gary
