Son of God

The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. (Mar 1:1)

Mark starts his gospel with the most important declarative statement in the history of mankind. Everything that follows supports and expounds on the foundation that Mark lays in this one sentence. The phrase “Jesus Christ” misses the enormity of that title in Hebrew. What it’s supposed to say is “Yeshua ha Maschiach” or that Yeshua (Jesus) is the prophesied Messiah of Israel. The title “Son of God” also carries with it the weight that Yeshua is endowed with the power of God by his Father, Yahweh. Because of the importance of the knowledge of who Yeshua is, and just as important, who He is not, we have assembled this series of very easy to understand messages and we hope you find them edifying.
